Collide

A short little thing I wrote a few months ago... hopefully you enjoy it! I recommend playing the video while reading it - yenno just to get the full affect! haha =D

The morning sun creeps through the clouds awakening all in its midst. The sun interrupts his sleep, blinding his vision. He stretches he arm across the bed, only for reality to hit him that he is all alone. He slowly gets up and walks toward the window sill. The beautiful sunrise glistening in the water gives him a sense of warmth going straight to his heart. He puts on a robe diminishing his cold he feels. Something on his dresser sticks out to him, something out of the ordinary. He picks up a photo cluttered with papers and letters. She on the other hand started her day off two hours ago, waking up to her noisy alarm clock. She sits in a board room listening to businessmen speak about their latest technology and advertising. To say she is career driven would be an understatement, nothing comes between her and her job. She has an on-going love for what she does, what many of us strive to find in our everyday lives. After the presentation she takes strong strides to her office ready to answer her phone calls that she missed. But a picture on her desk causes her to put her work on pause. Although they both have moved on with their own lives, living it to their satisfaction, they are reminded of each other through the simplest things. An old photograph sparks endless memories together yet the bittersweet ending of their love story was due to their differences. Those who know how to put differences aside can make things work, but to them the differences were the barriers they faced everyday. She wanted to work and move up in her company, but he wanted to write novels and travel the world. Although their differences tore them apart, their memories will live on as their thoughts collide together.
