Hats Off to You

Thirteen years in the making.. who knew that it would finally come to an end? Little did I know, that the dreary place of high school would cease to exist in my world. It was a rocky and unpleasant start without a doubt, but somehow through the five years of high school, those bumps and road blocks led to a happy ending. It's amazing to look back and realize how much you've changed, grown and aged.

I used to...
  • eat in the halls
  • get driven to school
  • make title pages for homework
  • hangout at the malls
  • think that grade 12 would never come
but now I..
  • eat out for lunch
  • drive myself to school
  • wish I could make title pages for homework instead of studying
  • work at the mall
  • realized that grade 12 went by really fast
High School. I can't lie, at times it was a place I dreaded and even hated. But, it wasn't all that bad -- the classes, the people, the teachers, the jokes, the laughs, the talks, the lunches, the drives, the dances, the drama and the fun.. These factors made school unpredictable in an exciting way. Thanks to all the people who've helped me along the way -- whether it be through homework or advice or making me laugh, it somehow all contributed to my high school experience. Thanks to my friends who've picked me up when I was down and made me smile through it all. It was fun while it lasted, but now the times have changed. I'm turning the page of the last chapter.. hoping that I'll be ready for the blank page I see before me.

Grad '08 -- thanks for the memories and congrats! (it finally looks like we made it after all..)
