No distinct holiday season. No snowfall. No cherry blossoms in sight. No hot sweltering days. No summer solstice. No beach adventures. Long gone are the non-existent mornings and lazy afternoons, following the latest nights that clearly mark some of the best memories. But, all good things must come to an end. It can be hard to say goodbye, but when the new thing starts and you're half way through it, it doesn't seem so bad anymore. Things are suppose to change with time and I really think it's about who how you accept or view the change. You can hate it, complain about it, and dread it each day, or you can accept it and make the most of it, realizing that somethings in life are out of your reach and uncontrollable. That's life, just have to take it as it is. As the season changes, into a more mellow atmosphere and calming environment, I can't help but learn to like it. The cold dark walks to the bus stop each morning always gives me a sense of wonder -- thinking that everything's still asleep, resting and peaceful till the daily morning routines start. Watching the sky, dark and cloudy, with the sun trying to peak through only stimulates my thoughts that none of us really know what today will bring. The trees changing colours from greens to reds to oranges to yellows, only beauty crosses my mind. The changing leaves makes me realize nature is art in its most alive form. The leaves crunch while I take each step and if I'm lucky I'll find one that is gently falling to the ground. I can't help but stare, watching it as it is guided by the wind, not knowing where it'll end up, but only searching for a soft place to land. Never have I seen anything as peaceful as that. Autumn. It's a good season. A new start. A transitional period. A moving along. A changing time. Fall. Shorter days. Falling leaves. Colours changing. Colder weather. Pumpkin patches. Pumpkin pie. Hay rides. Jack-o-laterns. Halloween. Thanksgiving. Rememberance Day. Days in dark jeans. Wool-blend jackets. Longsleeve shirts. Crewneck sweaters. Hoodies. Plaid button-down shirts. Black. Brown. Purple. Grey. Leather boots. Tights. Scarves. And berets. It all could only mean one thing...
"We need to change
When the seasons change
I ain't afraid to change
Oh we need a change
We all can change"
When the seasons change
I ain't afraid to change
Oh we need a change
We all can change"
